Parishioners have said yes in the referendum!
The Village Improvement Plan (VIP) is proposed to sit alongside the Neighbourhood Development Plan to promote the ongoing improvements being sought by Fressingfield people.
The various consultations highlighted some aspects of ‘development’ that could not appear in the NDP, so these have been combined into these proposals of the enhancement of our village and the life of all who live or spend time here. This is very much a starting point and will form an active part of the Parish Council’s programme of meetings and working groups. It is no way definitive and is very much ‘evergreen’ in nature and should dynamically change and grow to allow the chosen developments to take place. Inputs from parishoners will be crucial at all levels.
Each area under consideration has been identified but within each more work, detailing objectives, costs, benefits and those engaged in the improvements will need to be carried out. Thus for each a working group will be identified and villagers with particular interests and skills will be encouraged to contribute.
As a Plan it can be expected to develop to meet new visions. Funding streams will be an important aspect and Parish Councillors will keep careful prudent track of any funding commitments made.
